fashion shoot

Wednesday, July 2nd, 2008

The other day i assisted Kevin Michael Schmitz on a fashion shoot for San Diego Magazine. It was a long day but so much fun. Jeff Kunard from FORD models picked me up and we made the drive down to SD at 6 in the morning. I met some amazing people and they all put it together so wonderfully. The hair, the make up, and the stylist rocked it. The theme was a James Bond theme. Here are a few pictures:

Elicia Perkins who played the bad spy.

I just love, love bridal fashion, it combines all the things i love about photography, fashion, fine art, expressions, emotion… Makup by TEAM makeup , dresses from Santa Barbara Bridal.

I love this shot, it’s best viewed large though, so please check out the site under “the dress” for this!

You like the bouquet? I kinda tossed it together with some random purple flowers, lavendar and that dry grassy plant! :) I thought it would go well with the boots.

Vineyard Wedding

Wednesday, June 11th, 2008

I had the pleasure of shooting a beautiful wedding with Jose Villa at the lovely Firestone Vineyard in Santa Ynez a few weekends ago. I got to witness the world’s greatest and top 10 wedding photographers in action. It was a blast hanging out and learning from the best of the best! I told him he’s like the Versace of Photography. His style is classic beauty that is timeless and his images are simply stunning. It was great to see Jose in his element, seeing his craft. I had such a blast with him , Joel and Linda.  I’m still laughing over our adventures with the orange bmw, the waitor, the story of me being a food critic from food tv. LOL !! Good times for sure! Thank You So Much Jose for being not only a teacher, but a friend. Thanks for all the advice, guidance and reassurance! It’s important as photographers we never stop learning, improving and fine tuning our talents. Thanks for sharing your wealth of knowledge.

new addition

Monday, June 9th, 2008

I’m back in town with a new addition to the family, wet paws and stinky breath. This little girl has my hands tied up! Thanks to Jose Villa and Linda Chaja for coming with me to pick her up. She’s a handful but all in all she’s teaching me something very important in life……patience. Thanks, Jose for your reassurance. I had such a blast with Jose, Linda and Joel Serrato this past week. We shared some great laughs, food, and moments! Way to go on eating ama ebi guys and fried shrimp heads!! :)
Meet Truffles, she’s a chocolate tan dapple doxie.
